Naya Riverafather’s has something to say about the late daughter’s relationship with him Leah Michele.
Three-part documentation, Price from Gleedebut on Saturday night Investigation Findings. We previously covered the limited series trailer when it debuted last month, which promised to check out the hit Fox supposed “curse” of the show – including the deaths of three stars, Cory Monteith, Mark Sallingand Naya, who died tragically while saving her son, Joseyfrom drowning in Lake Piru in 2020.
In addition, the show attracted the attention of several friends – and drama – developed during 2009 to 2015, and Naya’s father, George Riveraadd some context where they can.
Speaking about his daughter’s relationship with Lea, who plays Rachel Berry in the musical, George explained that they often had “issues” with each other. He said:
“Between them there is always a war. Always. Everyone knows. Everyone sees. They hate each other but, at the same time, respect each other’s talents.

He also stated that his daughter, who plays fan favorite Santana Lopez, has never had any problems with other cast or crew members. Naya wrote about her estranged relationship with Funny Girl lead again in her 2016 memoir, Sorry Not Sorry: My Dreams, Mistakes, and Growth. He wrote about his relationship with Lea:
“One of them Glee Writers once said that Lea and I are like both sides of the same battery and that’s about our sums up. We’re both strong and competitive – not just with each other but with everyone – and that’s not a good mix.
He continued:
“But as the show progresses, that friendship begins to fall apart, especially when Santana moves from a background character to one with a bigger plot and more screen time.”
At Catwoman The voice actress later claimed that “Lea doesn’t like to share the spotlight,” and is “more sensitive” when faced with “feedback or criticism.” He recalled:
“If I complain about anyone or anything, they’ll think I’m bothering them.”
The late actress then finally reflected:
“Lea and I aren’t the best of friends, and I doubt we’ll ever sit on the couch and eat kale together again, but the rumors about our ‘feud’ don’t make sense.”

This is certainly not the last example of a Glee cast members made claims about Lea, as a show alum Samantha Ware claim in 2020 that Scream Queens star made the environment of the show “living hell” through “traumatic microaggressions” on the set. Lea, who is pregnant, apologizes Instagram:
“Whether it was my privileged position and point of view that caused me to be treated as insensitive or inappropriate, or whether it was just that I was immature and that I was just too difficult, I apologize for my behavior and the pain that I have caused.”
