Mahama Goofs over Minister Mundur
Former President John Dramani Mahama seems to be oblivious to the fact that two Ministers of the Akufo-Addo led government have resigned, in order to fight the upcoming NPP flag bearer race.
According to Mr. Mahama, all those who resigned did not want to participate in the troubles caused by the current government even though they participated.
In a post on his twitter handle, Mr. Mahama said, “Some members of the Akufo-Addo government already know that the ship is going to be a disaster. It should be a relief for those who abandoned the ship, but it is too late. It is almost useless. They will try to avoid it. part of the mess we’re in, but don’t forget the part you played.
Reacting to Mr. Mahama’s post, some netizens who follow him on social media said he deliberately tweeted it as a smart move to seek public attention and also to avoid the risk of NDC supporters joining the bandwagon to spread the same mischievous claims.
Former Minister of Trade and Industry, Alan Kyerematen and former Minister of Food and Agriculture, Dr Owusu Afriyie Akoto last week resigned from their positions as Ministers.
He has since announced his intention to contest the presidential primaries of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Article 13 (6) of the NPP Constitution states that “Any National Officer, Minister, Deputy Minister or MMDCE, who files a contest to be the Party’s Presidential Candidate, must resign from his position.”
But the former President said the ministers were trying to back down to avoid being associated with President Akufo-Addo’s failure.
