Stassi Schroeder appeared in an episode of Katie Maloney‘s podcast earlier this month, where he spent nearly 40 minutes discussing it Prince Harry and Meghan MarkleA Netflix documentary — and how it relates — to a longtime friend.
Before admitting he often found himself frustrated with his Bravo contract, looking back at the paparazzi attention he got after being fired from Vanderpump Rulesand dishing on her holiday traditions with her 23-month-old daughter Hartford Charlie Rose ClarkStassi said that when she shared the pregnancy news, she believed she knew why it leaked.
When they discussed the media circus that Harry and Meghan have experienced in recent years, Katie noted that negative stories are often given to the press by celebrities who try to hide their own secrets, Stassi warned about the 2020 pregnancy leak.
“I feel like my pregnancy leaked. Am I sounding bitter and angry? Because I keep referencing that time, but I can’t refer to it because everything Meghan and Harry said, it kind of affected me,” Stassi said on the Dec. 16 episode. You Will Love Me. “That’s how I relate to so many parts of the story, so if you’re talking about trading articles, I’m sure there’s information being sold. Someone’s going to get a bad article, a very damaging article about them, and they’re like, ‘I have information that I can tell you: Stassi is pregnant. No one knows.'”
“That’s all I can say,” he added.
And Katie agreed, saying, “It makes sense because only a few people knew, and the people I know who knew at the time wouldn’t have done it.”
While Stassi is sure that someone inside her leaked the news, she admits that as her pregnancy progressed, she started telling more people.
“I told some that I could be like, ‘I can see that happening.’ It’s in me. I’m bad, “he said, adding that before the leak, he planned”Kylie Jenner it” and only appears with the baby in the end.
Stassi is also linked to Harry and Meghan can’t fight certain rumours, saying she’s forced to keep quiet about the drama. Pump Rules until after the season airs.
“You’re not allowed to talk about anything that’s going on, and then this whole narrative starts to get thrown around on social media… And you’re like, ‘But that’s not what happened,'” she shared. “But you’re under contract, so you can’t tell the truth, and when you do tell the truth, sometimes you look like a liar. [You’re] forced to be silent and silent and not comment, and it is not fun.
As the discussion continued, Stassi said that hearing about Harry and Meghan, and how they constantly followed the story, brought her back to 2020, when she was fired for racist comments and behavior towards the former star. Faith Stowers.
“There’s paparazzi out, and if they take a photo of me and I’m smiling, people are like, ‘He’s got no shame. He doesn’t care. He’s not sorry.’ But if there’s a photo of me looking sad, people are like, ‘Look he’s a victim. Should we feel sorry for him?’ It’s like you can’t win either way,” Stassi said. “[Beau Clark] and I will have this conversation. We’ll be like, ‘Do we smile, do we frown, do we look angry? If we don’t smile, we literally look like we’re fighting. What should we do?’ There is no way to win.
Also, during the podcast episode, Stassi said that while she’s been planning her own Christmas “vibe” and doing her own decorations, she’s doing her best to change the traditions.
“I realized that in doing so, I took away the fun of the family taking to make a choice and take it out and I feel like I want, this year, to get another mini Christmas tree,” he revealed. “I’m trying to figure out what traditions are going to be followed and now it’s still about me and the decorations.”
“It’s weird to suddenly be the mom responsible for starting a tradition,” Stassi continued. “It’s a lot of pressure. What’s going to be our Christmas breakfast? Do we open presents, all on Christmas morning, or part of it on Christmas day?”
Although Stassi admits that Hartford is still young, she says she’s getting over it quickly, including her second birthday.
“I just asked her how old her birthday was going to be and she said, ‘Two!’ And I was like, ‘I just taught you yesterday.’ So he’ll know I’m leaving cookies for Santa,” Stassi said.
Vanderpump Rules season 10 is expected to premiere on Bravo in early 2023.
