Besides Kaizer Chiefs’ embarrassing 4-0 drubbing at the hands of AmaZulu on Saturday night, this week’s title belongs to Chippa United head coach Morgan Mammila.

Chief executive-coach-come-on is not one of his words and he has, for the past week, painted his thoughts brightly on canvas for all to see.
Mammila slammed Ernst Middendorp for prematurely declaring Mamelodi Sundowns the DStv Premiership champions. Mentor Swallows lost 2-0 to Masandawana and said Rulani Mokwena’s side are untouchable and nobody can beat them to the throne this season.
Mammila, who also lost to Downs, had strong comments about his coaching badges or lack thereof, implying that he, as a novice mentor, has fared better than his peers.
“There are guys who have a Pro License here and have been here for months. Go and check their wins, they’re not even close to me. Statistics don’t lie. Can you get a coach who can win four games in a row? I don’t need to be white people to be where I am. My stats say we won four, drew two and lost three,” said Mammila.
The Eastern Cape side coach also branded Sundowns coach,, Mokwena, alongside Pitso Mosimane, as the first choice for the Bafana Bafana coaching gig, ignoring Hugo Broos as the incumbent.
However, the head coach of SuperSport United, Gavin Hunt, believes that Mammila should make clear comments in the media room, and instead speak directly to his teammates.

“I don’t think it’s fair to comment on coaches. We have people who make comments at the moment you know who I’m talking about. It looks like they’re looking for a job,” Hunt said.
“You can’t comment on everything, it’s ridiculous, you can’t talk about things like that. There is a professional code of conduct that you must have (as a coach). If you see the person first hand, then you tell them, that’s where the conversation is, not in the media,” he said.
