Tucker Carlson on Friday defended the right of GOP House lawmakers to smoke in congressional offices after an increase in the behavior since the party won a slim majority in the 2022 midterms.
It’s all about “freedom,” agreed Carlson and Rep. Troy Nehls (R-Texas).
At the end of the interview, Nehls pulled a cigar from his pocket and seemed to light it (although no smoke was coming straight up).
Carlson was shocked and praised Nehls for “attacking freedom.”
“It’s the smell of freedom,” Carlson added. “We appreciate you coming here tonight and standing up for Americanness.”
