Biafrans Rejected Nigeria at the Eastern Peoples Cultural and Traditional Day Celebration in Enugu

Biafrans who attended the cultural display event organized by the Eastern Consultative Assembly in Enugu were enraged at the mention of restructuring of Nigeria, insisting that Biafran referendum is the only vote that Biafrans will participate.
The event were attended by Biafrans across the old eastern region. Chairman of Igbo Leaders of Thought, ILT, Prof Ben Nwabueze, and first President of Nigeria, Late Dr. Nnnamdi Azikiwe were to be honoured.
Also, to have been honoured included the First Republic Minister, Chief Mbazulike Amechi and the late former Governor of old Imo State, Chief Sam Mbakwe, late Margret Ekpo and late Philip Effiog among others.
The event which attracted other notable men and women of strong historical background across Biafra land were shambled by Amechi, one of the supposed men of honour who deviated from the concept of the gathering and talked about restructuring.
The organizer of the event and Founder of the Igbo Youth Movement, Evangelist Elliot Ugochukwu- Uko said that the aim of bringing members of eastern region together was to celebrate the heritage of the people of the Eastern region and recognise notable figures in the region as well as tackle issues of common interest by the people of the region especially the issues bothering the Indigenous People of Biafra.
However, when Amechi began to deviate from the concept of the gathering to talk about restructure of the failed contraption called Nigeria, Biafrans were enraged and roared to interrupt him, saying that Biafrans did not want to hear anything about Nigeria.
And from that point, the organisers of the meeting were unable to manage the crowd whose anger rose as their voices rose asking for Biafran referendum and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
