Suhuniyi also advised former Kumasi Mayor Kojo Bonsu to stop contesting.
He explained that the competition is not the important thing especially when the focus should be on giving better government and leadership.
Speaking to Oyerepa TV in an interview, the MP stated that the other two candidates are people who have contributed greatly to the development of the NDC but unfortunately, the flag bearer position is not one for them.
“He must stop. He must focus on saving this country with John Mahama. They are people who have worked tirelessly and hard for this country, especially Dr. Kwabena Duffuor; no one can write away the contribution they have made to the development of the National Democratic Congress ( NDC), Kojo Bonsu did a fantastic job when he was the Mayor of Kumasi.
“He has been one of the brand gurus when it comes to wedding marketing and everything, but this is not for him. He should stop, with respect, should stop and let’s focus on what is useful and what can be done,” he said.
The NDC has announced the opening of nominations for the presidential and parliamentary elections from Wednesday, February 22, 2023.
